277 days to ORD, and 2 days to Hai Kou Camp

Saw an article in the Straits Times this morning, with Mourinho complaining that Claudio Ranieri was the extravagant spender instead of him. He goes on to say that the big fees paid for Veron, Geremi, Glen Johnson and Crespo, among others, was a mistake by Ranieri and thus, his club Chelski is now stuck with an extravagent reputation.

Well, i think he forgot to mention that Petr Cech, Makelele, Robben, Duff, the very people that make Chelski so strong were also bought by Ranieri. Yes, all these players chalk up hugh salary bills, but in order to attract them, this is the only way. Please remember that Chelski were not Champions the last time round, thus were not as attractive as they are now. Imagine Chelski without Ranieri's recruits now. I think they won't do as badly as what you all think. Maybe they can win the reserve league from Man Utd reserves by one point haha. So Mourinho, please don't bad-mouth Ranieri again.

I think it's because the newspapers are neglecting him now, and he's the kind that wants to be the centre of attraction, just like our Mr. Birdy Man. The only difference is that Mourinho has succeeded, but Mr. Birdy Man has failed repeatedly. Well, i think i should lend him "How to win friends and influence people" to read. Nonono, i think "How to have friends so that you can influence them" is a much more suitable book for him at the moment haha.

Sick parade : 0800 (for CPL Philip is OTOT)
Draw Arms : 0800 (if you are garang)
Defensive Riding Course
All personnel who rides into camp are to sign up for the defensive riding course, so that you will know what to do if someone tries to knock you down in camp (yes i know this has been in the RO since last month, but in order to make the RO look long, and that my OC is doing his job, i still have to add this in)
Breakfast
All personnel who do not feel like eating breakfast are to pass their camp passes to the BSM, CPL Yap Peng Koon, and he is to scan the card for all during breakfast. Failure will result in 3 X extra duites.
Wallaby Trip
All personnel who are interested in the wallaby trip in november are to submit their names to the BSM by 01/10/05. Those who choose to stay back are to note that Mr. Birdy Man will take over as the acting CSM, thus all are advised to go. (he still needs to recommend another 500 X extra duties, or 250 X confinements in order to promote to the rank of SGT, so be warned)
Draw Arms
Personnel who don't feel like drawing arms tomorrow are to fall in at the company training shed at 0800 hrs tomorrow, with their rifle cleaning kit, to help the SGG section clean the 84mm. (please help as the SGG section is really the most 'xiong' section in the whole of SAF. They even don't have time to go to the canteen during their resting hours as they are busy at the medical centre. Thus they have to go to the canteen when the AAAA personnal are busy fitting the kit)

Went Chomp Chomp yesterday with Weixun, Yueze, Shuhui, Alvin and his girlfriend. Xun picked me up with his Audi A4 . Chomp Chomp was crowded, as usual, and we watched the Man Utd match at cartel. Man Utd dominated the match, but i felt we were quite lucky to get the goal. van Nistelrooy with a "kio sai" goal as usual haha.

Went home after the first half of the Liverpool match. Got to drive the Audi haha... A nice car, but i thought that the steering was a wee bit heavy to my liking. Maybe it's because my hands had grew weak from all the slacking. Promised myself to train up, i think a month ago, but had not made much progress, other than doing some push-ups with Tiong in camp one day. Think my aim of getting gold and the 200 bucks that comes with it is slowly evaporating haha...

Xun will be going off to Thailand on the 28th for training, and Yueze, soon to Brunei to cut trees for a month too. Well, i wish them all the best. All the best to me too, for my upcoming tour of Kao-Hsiung haha...

284 days to ORD

Went k lunch with my buddy, Nani Ang (Kok Heng's new nick), Tiong, Eric C, Hong Swee and Ah Kel. It was quite fun, and really enjoyed ourselves. Peng Koon met us after that in his England jersey, and we watched "Wedding Crashers". The movie's nice, but i had to contend with a very loving couple sitting beside me. Anyway, the female lead (Rachel McAdams, according to Peng Koon) is absolutely gorgeous. If anyone out there knows this type of girls, dun hesitate to introduce them to me. Want me to sign on army i also dun mind hahaha...

Went kino after that, and I bought two books in view of the up-coming holiday in Taiwan. 9 more days to go, before i board the dreaded plane again. Hai...

288 days to ORD

Just came back from Malaysia. Watched the Man Utd Everton match there. It was a good start to the season, although they were quite lucky to win it 2-0. If van der sar didin't managed to save that certain goal (in the 20+ min i think), the result would certainly be different. Man Utd didn't really dominate, and Rooney was really lucky to get on the score sheet. Still, it's a win, and Man Utd will certainly build on this. Chelski, watch out!!!

Went off-roading in my 9th uncle's new Toyota Hilux when we went to my Ah Kong's plantation. The Toyota is really big. It also has a nice no. "BHP XXXX" (i forgot what the numbers are, haha). Next time, i will get a car with "NGA 1", and my wife will be driving one with "NGA 2" on it haha... Well, maybe i should get something more cute, like "BOY 1". Singaporeans, continue dreaming of getting one with "SEX 9999" and a S$20k COE hahaha... (please don't hack my blog after reading this, it's just a joke)

290 days to ORD

Going back to my Ah Kong's house in Malaysia tomorrow. All my nephews and nieces will be coming down from KL to escape the haze (heard it's quite bad there). The last time we got together was during the Chinese New Year, so it's been quite awhile. Looking forward to tomorow...

293 days to ORD

Went East Coast in the afternoon with Kevin, Yi Wei and Seng Choong, and bought a cake from breadtalk to celebrate Singapore's birthday. The cake was delicious, but we had to eat with our bare hands as we didn't bring any utensils along.

Was watching the national day parade just now. It included a military procession, where all the latest defense systems were shown to the public. I think the gxxxxxxxt wants me to feel impressed, but instead, North Korea was the first thought that came into my mind.

Well, I think I should stop here, and let you guess what am I trying to say, in order not to get into trouble haha.

Anyway, 3 more hours to book in. I better go pack my bag now...

295 more days to ORD

Went to see the drag race at Marina South this afternoon with Peng Koon and Eric. Was quite suprised that Peng Koon actually agreed to come, as he's not into cars and speed (the fastest he went in his Lexus was 100km/h).

Eric rode his new bike there. Quite "beng", i thought, with a combination of red and white. But who am I to pass comments. It's his bike, not his dad's (unlike my Sunny GT-R).

The outing was actually a flop. The view sucks. The stands were closed and we had to make do by watching from a nearby hill. Also, we were watching them practising. The actual thing does not start until 3, and we were too tired to wait.

Still, I was quite in awe with the sounds that the cars make. If only my Sunny GT-R can do that too. It's definitely better sounding than a symphony orchestra. A pity that i have to book in tonight to help my "garang" 2IC Mr. Yap Peng Koon to pack stores for our Taiwan trip, if not I will definitely go down again tomorrow. Maybe i should go and get a MC now haha...

296 days to ORD

Got a chance to drive a LTC's Toyota Camry yesterday. The LTC gave Jun Han (his runner) the keys and told him to find someone to drive to Clementi to get some stuff for his fish tank in the office. Eric and I went, together with Jun Han.

Eric drove to Clementi, making full use of the 2.0VVT-i engine, and i drove on the way back to camp.

The car's quite new, having done only 10,000km, but i was still quite impressed with the low amount of engine noise from the cabin. Didn't dare to drive as fast and furious as Eric, as the LTC's crabs keep appearing in my head while i was driving. Imagine what will happen had i crashed his car...
